As Global Financial Controller at Forte Hotels, she helped drive its expansion into the world’s fifth-largest hotel group. She later led investment strategies that transformed underperforming assets into institutional-grade portfolios, increasing values by up to 400% across Europe and the U.S.
Now, as Founding Partner of SustainCRE, Lucienne specialises in scalable repositioning strategies that bridge the gap between capital efficiency and execution certainty. Her expertise in risk-adjusted investment structuring and impact-driven asset transformation enables investors to unlock NOI growth, optimise CapEx, and convert mispriced assets into high-performing, underwritable investments.
Sam Stacey
Sam Stacey is a leader and communicator in construction with an exceptional track record in business and academia. From 2018 to 2022 Sam was Challenge Director for the government’s Transforming Construction Program, implementing the Uk’s industrial strategy for the sector. At completion, the Program had increased whole-life value across projects worth £28.9 billion and increased the UK's construction-related exports by 14% per annum, along with multiple other benefits. Sam previously held a senior position at Skanska and has degrees from some of the world’s leading universities.
Now as Chairman of SustainCRE, Sam is leveraging his experience of the built environment ecosystem to align tenant value, technical expertise, government regulations and supply chain efficiency.
Russ Matthews
Russ Matthews is a Chartered Systems Engineer specialising in large-scale program management and technology-driven asset transformation. He has led high-value infrastructure and modernisation initiatives, including a £1.1 billion technology program at Vodafone and strategic leadership in the UK government’s Transforming Construction Program. With expertise in AI, computing, and investment-aligned execution, Russ has successfully integrated advanced technologies into complex built environment projects, optimising capital deployment and operational performance. At Innovate UK, he played a key role in shaping the UK’s levelling-up strategy, ensuring scalable, high-impact outcomes.
Now, as Program Director at SustainCRE, Russ orchestrates capital-backed repositioning mandates, ensuring structured, technology-driven asset execution. He leads multi-disciplinary teams to optimise project workflows, reduce execution risk, and enhance financial and sustainability performance at scale.
Upile Chasowa
Upile Chasowa is a technology leader specialising in AI-driven real estate optimisation and scalable digital infrastructure. As VP of Product and Engineering at Upflex, he led a global expansion, secured $30 million in funding, and developed technology that optimized workspace utilisation for enterprises and landlords. As co-founder of WorkClub, he successfully built and scaled the platform to acquisition. His expertise in real estate technology, AI, and structured data solutions has shaped innovation strategies for major industry players, including Cushman & Wakefield, WeWork, and Newmark.
Now, as CTO of SustainCRE, Upile leads the development of AI-powered asset repositioning models, integrating data-driven investment intelligence with scalable execution frameworks. His work enables institutional capital to optimise asset performance, streamline repositioning mandates, and de-risk investment execution.
Jon Baines
Jon Baines is a senior real estate investment strategist with deep expertise in asset repositioning, capital deployment, and institutional-grade portfolio management. As an Equity Partner at Cushman & Wakefield, he played a key role in expanding the firm’s European platform. He later served as Head of Real Estate at Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, overseeing strategic investments and portfolio growth across international markets. With extensive experience in investment underwriting, development strategy, and structured risk mitigation, Jon has advised major institutional investors, developers, and occupiers on optimising capital structures and unlocking long-term value in mispriced assets.
Now, at SustainCRE, Jon provides institutional investment alignment, ensuring that repositioning strategies maximise capital values, enhance yield performance, and de-risk execution at scale.
